Maccaferri® Mineral Terramesh® wire mesh is a modular soil reinforcement system designed to create steep soil structures with a rock-face finish, allowing for facings at angles of up to 87 degrees. The system comprises prefabricated units made from Galmac® and PoliMac® coated double-twist "DT" wire mesh, which form an inclined front face and an extended integral base known as the reinforced tail section.
The system is perfect for applications that require a modern, clean-faced appearance. The galvanised steel mesh frame creates smooth uniform lines, while the chosen stone fill forms a thin, seamless facade.
Mineral Terramesh offers a highly effective solution for reinstating slips and dropouts, steep slopes and bridge approach ramps.

WHY CHOOSE MACCAFERRI MINERAL TERRAMESH?
- Durable wire mesh structure, coated with Galmac and PoliMac, offers a design life of over 120 years under normal environmental conditions. It provides greater abrasion resistance, superior performance in cold temperatures and improved UV and chemical resistance
- Suitable for structures up to 3 metres in height without geogrid reinforcement, and capable of reaching over 70 metres with geogrid reinforcement
- Enhanced performance compared to welded mesh facings, due to the increased connection capacity offered by its integral mesh tail which eliminates the need for a geogrid wrap on the facing unit
- Quick and easy installation, requiring no connection between geogrid and the assembled unit
- Cost savings in materials are achieved by reducing the need for imported materials, thanks to the decreased use of facing stone which requires no ongoing maintenance. Additionally, site-won fill can be used as backfill for structures with angles less than 70 degrees, further reducing costs.
- Independently verified and tested with BBA-HAPAS certification
- Design support including access to an advanced suite of software free to our clients and on-going in-house training or via seminars
- Supported by specialised installation tools available for hire, such as pneumatic lacing tools, or you can purchase "C" rings, lacing wire, and preformed bracing wires, which can significantly reduce assembly time by up to 50%
